While we await Book IV in the Maddux mysteries, Gray and Languid Grave, I have been beavering away on the next books in the series. Hail of White-Hot Vengeance, Golden Silence, Gilded Cage, and the latest, Last Stand at Purple Mountain, which is as it sounds, a classic murder mystery wrapped in a modern western. It was a hoot to write. Well, they all are, but, as a fan of westerns, I particularly enjoyed it (as you can surely tell from the picture). I've now started Book VIII, tentatively titled, Lay Her Out in Lavender.
That's about it from here. Just a quick update really, for those unsure of the what's and wherefores of the Maddux mysteries to come. There will be more to come, of course. But for now, it's adios. There are sunsets (and sunrises) to ride into and out of. Happy trails, to you. Until we meet again.
